The current owners have been successful in building a year-round business with a steady increase in lettings each of the past 6 years. It is significant that the recession-hit years of 2008 and 2009 have seen the business continue to grow.
Occupancy rates during the main summer season stand at virtually 100%. This is to be expected.
However, outside of the season there has been remarkable growth. During the months January - April 2010 an occupancy rate of 80% has been achieved in the five gites.
The potential for the property to earn income has been exploited by the owners who have hosted several local groups' functions as well as running Quiz Nights, Christmas Dinners and a popular Tea Room.

The majority of the bookings for 2010 have come through French Connections and Owners Direct. Chez Nous has under-performed this year following a change to their website and cannot be recommended.
The La Tannerie website (www.latanneriechalais.com) is an essential part of the advertising for the business and currently attracts just over 100 hits per week.
A Facebook page for La Tannerie has also been created and this is viewed by about 400 people per week.
The website will be sold with the business.
